Barbara Konczarek is from Poland and does work for different book illustrations and posters. She's mostly a children's book illustrator, but the level of sophistication in her work is wonderful for children's stories. It is the detail that she does that originally got me interested with her pieces. She has grown with skill in the last five years and I'm excited to see where her artwork is headed.
Teagan Gavet and Tess Garman work together on their illustrations and have currently finished their second comic book. I've been watching these two for a few years now. I'm always surprised by what they come up with and how they work together. I want my skill to get this high with watercolor and acrylic.
KidChan is an illustrator from Malaysia. Her work has grown in many different ways over the years and now shows a fantasy, textured world. I actually interviewed KidChan whenever I had to do a report on her. The way her work looks like fabric even though it's done on the computer is fascinating and I can't wait to be able to produce art to this level!
Hunter Bonyun works with mainly commissions but has gained so much popularity via the internet that they are constantly invited to be featured artists and comic cons and other artistic conventions around the country. I love Hunter's work! I'm a huge fan of digital art and the mix with textures is what draws me into it.

First Project In Progress

Project 1
So for the first project we have to show our character doing an action. I have named the action "playing on the computer" after going through a lot of names for it. I was worried that I wasn't showing enough of my character and getting a little off topic, but Derek liked it, so I'm good!
Both the images are reversed, so it's hard to see what's going on. But in a nutshell, a bothersome cat gets forced into a dress and becomes an internet meme.
And here are a couple of cats in dresses!
